Which came first, the band name or the song? The acorn or the tree? Actually, in this case, it was the tree. Here is a PREVIEW of the track, “Under the Big Oak Tree” from the forthcoming album, and below are Kristin’s thoughts on that special place and why it created a lyric that so many folks seem to relate to. link Kristin Hamilton: My Grandad had a farm on the outskirts of town that he called Big Oak Tree Farm. There was a big oak tree with a tire swing where the family gathered on many occasions to relax, celebrate, and sometimes to mourn loved ones lost. Most times the night would end in family jams and sing-a-longs.   My fondest memories of the tree are of watching my children’s faces as they would swing high on the tire swing or lounge in the grass beneath it. Also the glow on the faces of my family, especially my Grandad’s, as we played and sang together there. I think a lot of people can relate to having a special place that’s lost or a sweet memory of a time long gone. A place you may be holding onto hope that you might revisit or recreate someday; a person you hope to see again… 100_1242
